Chapter Recruitment
Every January, Kappa Kappa Gamma Upsilon Chapter welcomes approximately thirty new sisters into a sisterhood unlike any other. Recruitment is fundamental to our chapter both because of its external implications as well as its internal ones. Despite the long hours, this chapter really comes together during recruitment, uniting not only to find new sisters, but also to have a lot of fun. Our recruitment process is dictated by our values that we discuss and develop throughout the year. We engage in workshops that practice conversational skills that best showcase the values that are so unique to our house. Every single member of our chapters is involved in the recruitment process. Members speak with PNMs (potential new members), they participate in our skit, and they give presentations on our various philanthropy events. But most importantly, we encourage them to be themselves. Every woman in Upsilon Chapter is in this house because of who she is. Our main goal is to have our members feel comfortable to be themselves during recruitment because we feel that is the only way PNMs will feel comfortable as well. We are very much looking forward, as we are every year, to welcoming the new pledge class in 2017.
